Genius idea with the old phone! I too have the list guilt scenario, I thought maybe it was an Aries thing...I am getting easier on myself with the only-do-what-is-necessary-for-today tasks and not trying to tackle the entire list. Thanks again for your well written post.
Goodness! I needed to read this a long time ago, but so glad I have today! Thank you for sharing. I love the "done list" suggestion. I am going to follow suit.
So glad to hear this! xx Honestly, the "done list" is so helpful. We do so much, each day, and it helps to remember that instead of constantly berating ourselves xx
Thanks Sue! I think this trend towards moving away from the productivity myth is so helpful - it's impossible to fit in all the things. Highly recommend these books
Love this, Yasmin. I've come to many of the same conclusions myself as well and it makes all the difference. I love what you shared about how to manage the feelings of urgency on social justice. I've been sitting with that a lot as well. It has also felt helpful to know that tending to our own self-care and wellbeing is a contribution to the health of the greater good as well. Even as inner voices may say things like it's selfish, etc. My inner state of being and peace of mind enables me to engage with the world in a more loving generous way and this is not to be underestimated.
So true! As ever it's about balance and sustainability. We want to be able to contribute for many decades and for me it's about seeing it as cyclical - some periods of more engagement, some periods of more care and well being. We need the two and they are intrinsically linked!

An old SIM card in an old phone--I love this. So so love this.

I definitely need to think about this kind of thing more. At the risk of saying I'll add it to my to do list ... lovely post
